Welcome to Grade 7 Science for the 2017-18 school year!
 I am pleased to have you here, and I hope that you are looking forward to a great year. We have four exciting topics that we will be covering over the year: Physics, Astronomy, Biology, and Geology.

Materials you must bring to class each day: As you can see, we have a lot of learning (and fun!) ahead. However, in order to be ready for class each day, you need to have the following materials:
 •Pens and/or pencils•Eraser•Highlighter•3-ring binder (1.5-2”)•Agenda book•2 composition books (one for class notes and one for Science/Engineering Fair)•5 dividers/tabs

Grading Policy:At the Exam Schools, there are 4 marking terms. These 4 grades will be averaged together and will be your final “Year Grade” in Science.

Grading Categories for each Term Grade:Quizzes & Tests: 30%Classwork (including Participation, Binder, & Agenda): 40%Homework: 30%Total: 100%

How do I view my grades online?At the O’Bryant, we use an online grading system, called SIS (or ASPEN), and you will be able to set private login information, so you may view your grades online at anytime. Your parents/guardians receive their own login information as well.  Students should NOT share personal log-in IDs and passwords with others. The school website does not contain your grades. The ASPEN website is: https://sis.mybps.org.
